OUR HORSES
Peufeilhoux is situated in a countryside area that is ideally suited to wandering around on horseback. From May 2007 the Friesians will make their entry at Peufeilhoux. We will introduce them to you in pictures.

Joanna, 16 years old now and mother of our stallion Smaragd (24-5-2002). King, a 6-year old gelding. Gijs (22-7-2002) a 5-year old stallion like Smaragd. And, to conclude with, Hinke our two-year old mare, and mother of Cornelia since March.

The stables are otherwise occupied by Little Boy, a 12-year old Shetland pony, Dana, a Shetland pony, mother of Julius and his father Shamir. Julius was born in April 2007.

Horse Activities
The horses are here for your pleasure and our’s. You can either ride in the saddle or join in on a tour with the Marathon cart. You could also decide to take a short course in driving the horse and cart or extend your experience of cart-driving on the French wood-paths. Our youthful visitors can come along on the cart and are also invited to start their experience with horses at an early age by joining us in the care and feeding of the horses and ponies.

You might be the owner of a horse and would be interested in joining a course in the handling of horses. On this website we will keep you informed about the organisation of courses. We offer the further opportunity of a tailor made course during your stay at Peufeilhoux. You may bring your own horse for that purpose.

Coaching
The coaching of the horse related activities is in the hands of a team of Le Frelut horse professionals who offer valuable assistance.

Coached trail riding in the woods:
One participant € 40 per hour.
Every extra participant € 30 per participant

2 hour tours on the Marathon cart:
A maximum of 4 participants or 3 adults and 2 children.
2 adults: € 100
2 adults and 2 children: € 120
3 adults: € 120
4 adults: € 140

Daytrips:
Departure at 11 am, pick nick at 13 pm, back at the castle by 15.30.
€ 62,50 per person, minimum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. Children ride free of charge.

Anther possibility is to depart at 13.30 and enjoy the high tea at Manoir du Mortier by 15.00. You would find yourself back at the castle by 17.30.
The rate is € 62,50 per person, children half price (free of charge for children under the age of 3).

To enjoy the high tea at Manoir du Mortier you could also choose to ride in the saddle. Departure time for this is 13.30 and we are back at Peufeilhoux by 17.00.
The rate for a maximum of 3 participants is € 62,50 per person.

Should you like to, you are very welcome to join us mornings and evenings in the care and feeding of the horses.
